Do You Feel Bad For Breaking Promises?

A large part of humanity lived this life making promises they may have not been able to keep, or promises they could keep and found it easier to just let it slide. Have you ever made a promise to God; one of those times where you stated that you would never do something again? Have you ever broken some of those promises? More than likely, the answer is, "Yes!" Is it okay? God understands that we are human and that our minds don't retain information like His. He knows that we are human. Sometimes our tests, or current situations, can stimulate wavering faith and clouded mental clarity. What does He say? Never swear. In conjunction to this state, Jesus stated that our time is always ready. His amazing truth is startling. (I'm like, "Wooooahhh!!!")

Jesus told Peter something Peter did not expect after making a promise to Jesus. In chapter 26 of Matthew and verse 33, Peter said to Jesus, "Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended."  In verse 34, Jesus said, "Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice."

In other words, Jesus knows that we are sincere in our prayer to Him. He knows that our thoughts at the moment is to drop all sin and never turn back. He also knows your future; when you will go back to the same sin and/or others that you may have promised not to. Does that stop God from loving you? No! We are always in a walk with God to glory, and won't be finished with our transformation until that day! How Great is our God! He wants us to sin no more and to become perfect strength our weaknesses. He never faults you for breaking promises; He simply asks that you don't promise. Love God! He is amazing!
