Possession For the Measure (June 14, 2012)

Today, God led me to the book of Jeremiah. In the first chapter, God pointed out to me a word that He had spoken unto HIS servant a long time ago, to us, but to God; yesterday. I felt in my spirit that God wanted me to be sure that HIS word stands today as it did then, and it will stand forever.
Possession for the Measure:
Before we go anywhere, we have to learn and remember the definitions of the topic so the words may be implied accurately and sufficient for study.
Possession is visible power or control over something, as distinct from lawful ownership. For is a preposition that connects the preceding adjective to the following noun. Measure is a course of action taken to achieve a particular purpose. Thus, "Possession for the Measure" is directly referencing the abstract or concrete substance suffice for the proper or common course of action we must take. Jeremiah 1:9,10,17 informs us of God 's interactions with Jeremiah. The first interaction in verse 9 tells us that God Touched Jeremiah 's mouth; setting in him the Word Of God. The second interaction in verse 10 tells us that God told Jeremiah why He touched Him. Thirdly, verse 17 tells us the instructions God had given Jeremiah since that he had the "Possessions for the Measure" God prepared him for. God 's commandment was, "Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them (Jeremiah 1:17 kjv).
Application: Listen for God as He speaks. We never know when God wants to tell us something, so we have to be alert at all times. It is always good to keep a sound mind. Understand that we are always equipped with what we need in order to make it pass difficult moments. And if we are not equipped, remember that everything we needed came before the fall. Just remember to stay connected with God. As God give us instructions, let us follow through in obedience. If we 're unsure about what God is saying, ask Him; He will deliver the message to you. Just be open with God, and diligently seek HIM. Amen.
