Discerning God's Path

Posted by Corey Mills on Sunday, July 26, 2020, In : Daily Flow
The daily verse triggers a thought: What does Jesus mean when He says He came to bring division? The question roots in the mission for which Jesus came; to save us from the wages of sin. Getting lost in the verses immediately after verse fifty one could be expected because the results are mentioned. Today, we will discuss what he meant by the division.

Take a moment to read further; perhaps to the end of chapter 12.

We see that Jesus mentioned that members of family within the house will be di...

Kingdom of God: The Spread

Posted by Corey Mills on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, In : Daily Flow
The world has questions. We were born in it, so we have questions. Since birth, we have learned the many components of our lives stem from observation, experience and growth. This is not limited to one culture; this is a "people thing". What is general law, and how did it come about? How do we know that pain - to most of us - is unattractive? How do we know that happiness is a certain type of internal achievement? The answer will likely revolve lessons we have learned as we grew older. How di...

Go, Please, Stay

Posted by Corey Mills on Saturday, August 10, 2019, In : Daily Flow
Life happens.... for us all. It seems that we have rare control over most details among the lives we live. Yes; this fact includes our day-to-day engagements, our thoughts and perceptions, and even our relationships with people.

When two people meet to spend seasons together, as did Elijah and Elisha; the prophets, those people become attached. Sometimes, the individuals become best friends, members who seem closer than siblings, spouses, or partners. Regardless of time, those formed bonds bec...

Breaking Chains: Hatred

Posted by Corey Mills on Thursday, August 8, 2019, In : Daily Flow
Many years ago, I was told that some knowledge only comes with age. This is especially true in such instances where certain clear perspectives are not taught certain issues people face early in life. I would like to point one of those things out using scripture, as usual. (See Daily Verse)

Written in the book of Matthew, Jesus spoke to people on an issue we all face - justice. In Chapter 5 verse 38 He begins: "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Clarity

Posted by Corey Mills on Sunday, December 23, 2018, In : Daily Flow
Heaven. What's it like?  Why should I want to go there? Can I be approved for entry based on my standards of fairness? We have all faced these questions in either a direct (conspicious) or indirect (implied or unspoken) way. It is even possible to to hold answers to questions, we have never asked. We all have a worldview. We all act based on our ideas and experiences. My Question to you is: Does it matter?

A Statement to Young Men

Posted by Corey Mills on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, In : Daily Flow
Please, allow me to be honest with you. I am a fellow servant, nothing more.

I had many self-regrets. I had thrown away many years into nothing and prospered in no way. Many of the wages of my works do not belong to me; they are unfairly taken by people I don't know. All of this came from a massive attack of my enemy; a divorce - several years ago - that drew me to run away into isolation with a devastating feeling of betrayal from the people I associated with. Anxiety became a problem,  drink...

A Smooth Internal Collapse

Posted by Corey Mills on Monday, September 3, 2018, In : Daily Flow
Trying hard to succeed is normal for business-minded individuals. It is also true to those who true followers of Christ. If you have never experienced a true relationship with God; I mean literally being connected and knowing it, the relationship is actually possible. Effort and devotion is necessary for any relationship; this includes the relationship we have with God.

For those of us who know that the relationship is real, the first time you really experienced the actual love from God was m...

Did God Really Choose You

Posted by Corey Mills on Friday, August 17, 2018, In : Daily Flow
From the beginning of time - as we learn - God created all things and chose humanity to rule over them. We were made more intelligent than all creation; God made us in His image.

While I was reading in the book of Numbers, chapter 12 was significantly important in identifying the answer to the question, "Did God Really Choose You?" I will not spoil the read, however, I will state that in the middle of doubt or other insecurities, God will always stand by His Word and by your side as you stand ...

Go Forth

Posted by Corey Mills on Saturday, August 27, 2016, In : Daily Flow
I am not here to tell you something you already know. I am here to tell you something you are uncertain of:

God called you, and you know that. God touched you, and you know that. God set a plan for your life, and you are uncertain of what it is. Look at the hand of God.

I am here to tell you that your life is a blessing to others, but you have a hard time sharing it. Perhaps the reason is due to the jealousy of another person and how you may feel guilty because a small sense of entitlement is w...

Maturity Takes Time for Kingdom People

Posted by Corey Mills on Thursday, May 12, 2016, In : Daily Flow
Like investing in bonds, everything has a maturity date and time. Most of us have no clue as to when we become mature. Maturity is relative to an individual's time based on specific tasks given them.

After reading the Daily Verse, I can conclude that before I can minister to anyone, I have to go through preparation. Before I can drive a car, I have to learn about driving and the laws concerning traffic. Before I go to college, I have to pass the basics.  These analogies are to explain that we...

Things are Different

Posted by Corey Mills on Monday, May 9, 2016, In : Daily Flow
Modern human calculate truth from what they know aside from what they don't know. There is a possibility for things to exist, but not until it can be proven. A lake of fire can't exist, but there is both magma and lava.

After reading the Daily Verse, for May 9, 2016, I continue to find reason to believe that things exist that we may not believe in. We believe that a car can drive, we believe that a shoe could skate, we believe that women can create children, but we don't believe that the Son ...

Back Track

Posted by Corey Mills on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, In : For You
In this walk of faith, the people of God spiritually grow, and are tested. And as we may have all experienced victory during tests, we have all experienced failure as well. It is a logical idea that in order to succeed one will have to know what failure feels like. It is nearly impossible to succeed without failing; at least for the most of us.

When going through a trial, of which you may fail, pray to the Father, God, for forgiveness and strength. He will give you what you ask for. The immedi...
