Discerning God's Path

Posted by Corey Mills on Sunday, July 26, 2020, In : Daily Flow
The daily verse triggers a thought: What does Jesus mean when He says He came to bring division? The question roots in the mission for which Jesus came; to save us from the wages of sin. Getting lost in the verses immediately after verse fifty one could be expected because the results are mentioned. Today, we will discuss what he meant by the division.

Take a moment to read further; perhaps to the end of chapter 12.

We see that Jesus mentioned that members of family within the house will be di...

Kingdom of God: The Spread

Posted by Corey Mills on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, In : Daily Flow
The world has questions. We were born in it, so we have questions. Since birth, we have learned the many components of our lives stem from observation, experience and growth. This is not limited to one culture; this is a "people thing". What is general law, and how did it come about? How do we know that pain - to most of us - is unattractive? How do we know that happiness is a certain type of internal achievement? The answer will likely revolve lessons we have learned as we grew older. How di...

Go, Please, Stay

Posted by Corey Mills on Saturday, August 10, 2019, In : Daily Flow
Life happens.... for us all. It seems that we have rare control over most details among the lives we live. Yes; this fact includes our day-to-day engagements, our thoughts and perceptions, and even our relationships with people.

When two people meet to spend seasons together, as did Elijah and Elisha; the prophets, those people become attached. Sometimes, the individuals become best friends, members who seem closer than siblings, spouses, or partners. Regardless of time, those formed bonds bec...

Breaking Chains: Hatred

Posted by Corey Mills on Thursday, August 8, 2019, In : Daily Flow
Many years ago, I was told that some knowledge only comes with age. This is especially true in such instances where certain clear perspectives are not taught certain issues people face early in life. I would like to point one of those things out using scripture, as usual. (See Daily Verse)

Written in the book of Matthew, Jesus spoke to people on an issue we all face - justice. In Chapter 5 verse 38 He begins: "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Clarity

Posted by Corey Mills on Sunday, December 23, 2018, In : Daily Flow
Heaven. What's it like?  Why should I want to go there? Can I be approved for entry based on my standards of fairness? We have all faced these questions in either a direct (conspicious) or indirect (implied or unspoken) way. It is even possible to to hold answers to questions, we have never asked. We all have a worldview. We all act based on our ideas and experiences. My Question to you is: Does it matter?

A Statement to Young Men

Posted by Corey Mills on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, In : Daily Flow
Please, allow me to be honest with you. I am a fellow servant, nothing more.

I had many self-regrets. I had thrown away many years into nothing and prospered in no way. Many of the wages of my works do not belong to me; they are unfairly taken by people I don't know. All of this came from a massive attack of my enemy; a divorce - several years ago - that drew me to run away into isolation with a devastating feeling of betrayal from the people I associated with. Anxiety became a problem,  drink...

A Smooth Internal Collapse

Posted by Corey Mills on Monday, September 3, 2018, In : Daily Flow
Trying hard to succeed is normal for business-minded individuals. It is also true to those who true followers of Christ. If you have never experienced a true relationship with God; I mean literally being connected and knowing it, the relationship is actually possible. Effort and devotion is necessary for any relationship; this includes the relationship we have with God.

For those of us who know that the relationship is real, the first time you really experienced the actual love from God was m...

Did God Really Choose You

Posted by Corey Mills on Friday, August 17, 2018, In : Daily Flow
From the beginning of time - as we learn - God created all things and chose humanity to rule over them. We were made more intelligent than all creation; God made us in His image.

While I was reading in the book of Numbers, chapter 12 was significantly important in identifying the answer to the question, "Did God Really Choose You?" I will not spoil the read, however, I will state that in the middle of doubt or other insecurities, God will always stand by His Word and by your side as you stand ...

Rise Above

Posted by Corey Mills on Friday, October 13, 2017, In : Daily Flow
We were taught that we are kings and queens. Is this a truth? Certainly, many of the people on Earth could examine their lives and know they are valued, but experience no evidence of royalty. Bills, Government taxes, tariffs, and daily expenses seems to rule over us. Is it that the Earth is king over us? The rules, guidelines and laws issued seem to dictate the actions of civilization. It is ironic that men make the law we are subjected to. We bound ourselves from being men and women of full ...

God's Grace Is Sufficient

Posted by Corey Mills on Thursday, October 12, 2017, In : Daily Flow
As you may have read in the Daily Verse, Psalms 94:18-19 in the King James Version is written, "When I said, my foot slippeth, Thy mercy, O Lord, holds me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.

A man spoke to God in such a way that says, "I am a mess, but I aim to keep my focus on you." Who in this world can say they are like this man? Who in this world can say, "I don't associate myself with this person because of my judgement against him or her"? Who can ...

Do we deserve mercy?

Posted by Corey Mills on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, In : Daily Flow
Daily, we go through life with thoughts of about everything a person can imagine; some of us, even more. The actions we make habits begin creating us into the individuals we are and will become. For some of us, it is a good thing. We aim higher, we set our priorities in position, we crack down on the things that may have, in time, made us fail. We reach for a higher calling, while maintaining a focus that tackles with precision, the things that hope to bring negative fault in our lives. Mm. W...

Rebuild

Posted by Corey Mills on Saturday, October 7, 2017, In : Daily Flow
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding. It sounds like a creed, doesn't it. To know wisdom. To build a relationship with wisdom and instruction... To see the words of understanding... To know what is spoken with nothing soaring over heads. It must be a way of inheritance. Rebellion usually teach to maneuver from a certain way. To understand what we rebel is an asset of the mind. To understand the way of wisdom is a benefit of the mind. To build a relationship a...

Trust The Word, Trust In God

Posted by Corey Mills on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, In : Personal Analysis (Group Posting Encouraged)
Always, the words throughout the Canon of Scripture are tested, and the outcomes are always truth.

Here are some personal truths in my life, gained from experience, and regretted for the remainder of this sentence:
"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14). I remember meeting a person several years back, whom God warned me about saying stay away from. As lonely as I was...

Close to Distance Memories

Posted by Corey Mills on Friday, January 20, 2017, In : Walk Over
It is simple to forget things we once knew. Things that were important to us become distant memories; tucked away for rare recovery.

Staying course is the best action. When living and breathing becomes more important than substance, staying course on your investment to become a leader in enhancing lives is always ideal.

Always know that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7). It is best not to forget.

Better Decide

Posted by Corey Mills on Thursday, September 22, 2016, In : Daily Flow
To often, we see people making decisions that is not likely to be in order with biblical principles and righteous living. However, we do not know the thoughts of those people during their decision making process, and we rarely know their life experiences. Everyone has a worldview; a way of thought that directly influence how we perceive everything and make decisions.

It is a known fact that we decided on different items and tasks each day. Yet, it is also a known fact that the majority of the...

The Good Stuff

God called you, and you know that. God touched you, and you know that. God set a plan for your life, and you are uncertain of what it is. Look at the hand of God.

I am here to tell you that your life is a blessing to others, but you have a hard time sharing it. Perhaps the reason is due to the jealousy of another person and how you may feel guilty because a small sense of entitlement is w...

Maturity Takes Time for Kingdom People

Posted by Corey Mills on Thursday, May 12, 2016, In : Daily Flow
Like investing in bonds, everything has a maturity date and time. Most of us have no clue as to when we become mature. Maturity is relative to an individual's time based on specific tasks given them.

After reading the Daily Verse, I can conclude that before I can minister to anyone, I have to go through preparation. Before I can drive a car, I have to learn about driving and the laws concerning traffic. Before I go to college, I have to pass the basics.  These analogies are to explain that we...

Things are Different

Posted by Corey Mills on Monday, May 9, 2016, In : Daily Flow
Modern human calculate truth from what they know aside from what they don't know. There is a possibility for things to exist, but not until it can be proven. A lake of fire can't exist, but there is both magma and lava.

After reading the Daily Verse, for May 9, 2016, I continue to find reason to believe that things exist that we may not believe in. We believe that a car can drive, we believe that a shoe could skate, we believe that women can create children, but we don't believe that the Son ...

How We Should Consider Women

Posted by Corey Mills on Monday, November 30, 2015, In : Conversations about the Holy Word and People
Is it relevant to consider the ways of a woman? Our society is geared toward women's equality; they can vote like we are not in the 1860's, they can work like sitting still is not an option.  Somehow, they can connect the intelligence in a Android to the reason some guy didn't wash the dishes. All in all, women have this amazing ability to follow details better than ink on a page (sometimes).

Women are precious creatures! (No, not that green monster from the T.V.)  Women are complexly, amazin...

Do You Feel Bad For Breaking Promises?

Posted by Corey Mills on Monday, November 23, 2015, In : Daily Flow
A large part of humanity lived this life making promises they may have not been able to keep, or promises they could keep and found it easier to just let it slide. Have you ever made a promise to God; one of those times where you stated that you would never do something again? Have you ever broken some of those promises? More than likely, the answer is, "Yes!" Is it okay? God understands that we are human and that our minds don't retain information like His. He knows that we are human. Someti...

What Will You Do?

Posted by Corey Mills on Friday, November 20, 2015, In : Daily Flow
Our Father is High and Mighty; yet, He is still humble. He shows us that He respects our decisions, whether they are for him or against Him. He loves us in spite of the sin that we commit toward Him. Before we even ask, He forgives us; He extends mercies that we shouldn't think of deserving. With Love, Kindness, and all Patience, God waits and calls out to us to return to Him with a repentant heart so that we be not condemned of our past sins. Do we know that God cares? Do we know that He all...

Live in Preparation

Posted by Corey Mills on Thursday, October 23, 2014, In : Daily Flow
Reading through the scriptures allows us to process a lot of knowledge concerning what biblical literature is actually teaching. While gaining an understanding that it is teaching history and spirituality, the bible also teach readers to focus on perfect living and preparing for reception into God's kingdom. Jesus said to his disciples a while ago that "...your time is always ready" (John 7:6).  It is normally believed that this text meant that people could be gathered up at any moment.  Livi...

Give, In Return...

Posted by Corey Mills on Saturday, October 18, 2014, In : Daily Flow
It is often heard, as it is written in the Bible, that we should present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1, Holy Bible).  Indeed, this is a task that some of us would gladly do.  Would you consider going an additional mile to please God.  Consider all of your belongings; how you have so much or so little.  Will you dedicate all that you have unto God? That includes your soul, life, work, and chicken wings! (You know the...

We Are Made To Love

Posted by Corey Mills on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, In : Daily Flow
In the Light of the Lord's word, we can see that we are perfectly individual; not as a species, but as a soul directly connected to the Father as a breath of Life. How marvelously are we made! Satan knows that, and he stands to persuade us to be disconnected from the Father (by our works, intentions, feelings, desires, pride, etc...). He just wants what God has. His jealousy of his Creator (Our Creator) caused him to utterly fall. Now, he wants to claim God's breath of Life- our souls- and us...

Troubles Before Peace

Posted by Corey Mills on Friday, February 7, 2014, In : For You
Let's make this mental. We often go through challenges to acheive our biggest goals. Sometimes we fail; other times, we are successful because of our mental focus on our prize. Whether it is always getting good grades at school or committing to necessary tasks to get a job done... the right way, we all have focused our minds on acheiving the greatest outcome possible.

When God informs us of a job, we have to battle ourselves to complete our assignment. In our minds, we know that when we obey ...

Daily Strength

Posted by Corey Mills on Friday, February 7, 2014, In : For You
Every day given to us is for a purpose. At times, we think that "our day" is to be used for normal livelihood and taking care of children. Although that is a true part of life, what is our purpose for living? Why does God give us the strength to do what we need to do; even at our weakest point; when we feel like we shouldn't do "it"? Our subconscious tells us that we want more. Naturally, we feel whatever "more" is is on the outside of us. What feels absent is always there. Call on God. There...

Back Track

Posted by Corey Mills on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, In : For You
In this walk of faith, the people of God spiritually grow, and are tested. And as we may have all experienced victory during tests, we have all experienced failure as well. It is a logical idea that in order to succeed one will have to know what failure feels like. It is nearly impossible to succeed without failing; at least for the most of us.

When going through a trial, of which you may fail, pray to the Father, God, for forgiveness and strength. He will give you what you ask for. The immedi...
